Through a balance of Theory and Practical training, students will graduate with an understanding and high proficiency in areas including traditional to progressive styling techniques, leading edge cutting techniques, advanced razoring and texturing, men's hair design, hair extensions, latest colour techniques, chemical texturizing, salon and small business management and current fashion trends.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age or have a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
It is important to have a good grasp of the English language, good hand-eye coordination/ manual dexterity, and be able to endure standing for several hours at a time.
Good general health, normal colour vision and depth perception are essential to success in this industry. Students must be comfortable with the giving and receiving of services. The ability to communicate effectively and the desire to provide customer service is of great benefit. Creativity is also an asset.
